Financial Literacy Programs

For districts that offer the PlanMember 403(b) & 457(b) Savings Program, a variety of Financial Literacy Programs are also available. Designed to educate employees at any career stage, these non-sales workshops teach basic planning and investment principles and how to avoid common mistakes that can undermine a financially secure retirement. PlanMember Financial Literacy Program topics include:

  • Retirement planning workshops about the importance of plan participation and the basics of establishing a personal saving and investment strategy.
  • Workshops about the basics of retirement investing and how to create adequately diversified investment portfolios.
  • Pre-retirement workshops for those employees nearing retirement on how to transition investments to prepare for retirement.
  • Workshops for retiring employees about investment and income strategies to make that nest egg last a lifetime.
